The purpose of the Biomedical Ethics Seminar Series is to provide a forum for the UCSD campus to discuss ethics. Although topics tend to be from the fields of bioethics, medical ethics, and research ethics, the seminar series provides an opportunity to consider the ethical dimensions of many aspects of academia. The first organizational meeting was held May 19, 1999. Based on that meeting, the seminars began in June of 1999. Since that time, we have been meeting once each month on a Wednesday afternoon, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.

The 2005–06 Biomedical Ethics Seminar Series is supported by a generous gift from California Western School of Law (CWSL) and The Institute of Health Law Studies at CWSL.
