Topic: When does ethics play a role in clinical research?
Presenter: Frederick Bonkovsky, Visiting Scholar, UCSD
Location: SDSU Foundation: Sky Park
Discussion:
The case of Ken and Marie Pines, research protocol 2006-999, and XAN and medical procedures, raise several ethical issues. We will discuss these issues with an eye to sharpening understanding of research/protocol ethics and the practices of clinical ethics. The intersections of biomedical research and ethics will be considered and evaluated.
