 Purpose

The Tough Cases ethics discussion series is intended primarily for medical, pharmacy, and other graduate students in the School of Medicine. It aims to provide an opportunity for those anticipating a career in medicine and scientific research to increase awareness of, and sensitivity to, ethical issues in medicine and the biological sciences.

The series is funded by the Allen Lein Ethics in Medicine Fund at UCSD and includes lunch and discussion. The brochure distributed at the first meeting of the 2004 Tough Cases Seminar Series can be found at: Tough Cases Brochure
